Building on this foundation, Festivalpoort took a significant step forward by registering all supplier movements — providing organizers with valuable insights to support both their operational and sustainability goals.

Each vehicle type is linked to its corresponding supplier, ensuring you always know who is on-site. This real-time data is displayed in an eazy to read dashboard. The Festival Tool tracks delivery frequency, responsible suppliers, mileage, weight, fuel type, and many other key metrics — providing you with comprehensive insights for optimal reporting.

A complete solution for your suppliers entrance
Since its inception, Festivalpoort has been the go-to partner for logistics management during the setup and breakdown of festivals and events. Its mission is to allow producers and organizations to focus entirely on the production itself, while Festivalpoort takes care of all supplier traffic concerns.
The concept of Festivalpoort originated during the production of Awakenings Festival in 2012, in collaboration with producer Jasper Schimmel. It quickly became clear that having a specialist gatekeeper was crucial for managing logistics across the entire festivalsite. A streamlined production begins with an efficiently managed gate.
A natural next step was to map all transport movements—not only to monitor suppliers and the number of deliveries, but also to compare production planning with actual transport activity. This marked the birth of Festivalpoort and the first contours of the Festival Tool: a digital platform based on license plate registration.
The dashboard in the Festival Tool provides real-time insights into which suppliers are on site and how often deliveries are made. It also identifies peak periods, allowing organizers to plan and organize more efficiently. Festivalpoort uses this information to advise on production scheduling, ensuring smoother operations and calmer conditions on the field.
A key feature of the Festival Tool is its ability to collect data on delivery origins, distances traveled, and vehicle fuel types. This enables organizations to calculate CO2 emissions and provides a solid foundation for reporting to authorities as well as supporting sustainability initiatives. It also ensures compliance with current and future environmental regulations.
In 2022, Festivalpoort expanded its services to include machinery management. This encompasses efficient handling of equipment and materials, with full tracking of all inputs and outputs—also supported by the Festival Tool.
This continuous development allows Festivalpoort to offer a comprehensive and efficient portfolio of services to event and festival organizers.
